Peoplescape: A year-long social experiment.
Chicago, IL On June 13th, 2009, local artist Ms. Maria Scileppi will unveil Peoplescape, an exhibition and a Happening from 6pm-10pm at FLATFILE Galleries, 217 N Carpenter. Peoplescape is about making each day significant, getting out of one’s world and entering into someone else’s to create a shared experience. What started June 10th, 2007 will culminate at Peoplescape: A Social Experiment. Please join us in celebrating human connection June 13th, 2009 at FLATFILE Gallery, 217 N Carpenter, Chicago, IL from 6pm to 10pm. The exhibition will also be open to the public on Sunday June 14th from 11-5.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate in the event. It is not just about reflecting on the documented year but also about the event itself and celebrating our shared connections.This exhibition will map the relationships that were born, the ones left for dead and everything in between. The documentation includes a portrait of each person, a narrative inspired by the interaction and a psychographic snapshot based on the answer to the question, “Why are you here?”
